Good morning,
We are aware of a number of reports relating to Burglary and Anti-Social Behaviour at the old Memorial Hospital on Mill Hill.
To keep you updated on current works in progress here, officers from the Community Safety Unit and Sevenoaks District Council have met with the developers to advise them on site security, and they have committed to installing new security on site.
We are however continuing to have to deal with youths trespassing on site and damaging roof tiles / buildings. Not only does this take police away from dealing with other matters, it also presents significant risk to those children playing in a derelict building which is insecure and has a significant number of hazards on site. Under newly reintroduced legislation it may now also be considered a criminal offence.
If you are aware of any persons entering the site, or planning to do so, without a lawful reason please advise them not to. To reduce the impact to the local community, site developers and the risk to those children “playing” on site Kent Police will be adopting a zero tolerance policy on this moving forward.
