🚔 Burglary Prevention Advice from Your Local Neighbourhood Team We are reminding residents to take a few simple steps to help protect their homes from burglary: 🔒 Always lock doors and windows, even when you are at home or in the garden. 🔑 Keep keys, wallets, and handbags out of sight and away from doors, letterboxes, and windows. 💡 Use timer switches on lights if you are away from home to give the impression that your property is occupied. 📦 Store valuable items securely and consider property marking or registering valuables online. 📹 If possible, install and maintain security lighting, alarms, or CCTV systems. 👀 Be vigilant and report any suspicious activity, unknown callers, or individuals acting unusually in your area. If you are going away during the summer, ask a trusted neighbour, friend, or family member to keep an eye on your property and remove any visible deliveries. Working together, we can help keep our communities safe. If you witness a crime in progress, call 999. For non-emergencies, contact Greater Manchester Police via 101 or online.
