Recent Wildfires

Dear Havering Resident 

In regards to the recent wildfires seen across Havering, please see the below update 

Police are investigating the fires that occurred in Havering and Dagenham on Wednesday, 29 July. 

At this time, there is no evidence to suggest that this was deliberate, but we are keeping an open mind and reviewing all available evidence that we currently have to try and establish whether this was deliberate act or an accident.

If anyone has any evidence or anything that could help our investigation, then please contact 101 quoting Crime reference 01/7878122/26.

Locally we are increasing patrols in our parks and open spaces and would encourage residents to report any suspicious activity to us on 101 or, in an emergency, 999

Please also remember to avoid lighting any BBQs in public spaces and take all litter home with you if you have a picnic
