It has been a very hot busy month for officers in Stourbridge. PCSO and officers on the town have been on foot and engaged with a high number of the members of the public who have provided us with intelligence and raised their concerns about local issues. A Number of community engagement events have been conducted with a good turnout regarding attendance Officers and Supervision held meetings with local MPS as Police have raised concerns and requested support from other agencies in respect of ASB regarding vehicles in the and around the ring road. There is a growing need for the speed camaras to be re-introduced, this is something every agency is trying to make happen by way of evidence based data, so please KEEP reporting issues. A update of Section 59 of the Police reform act 2002 now enables officers to seize vehicles for a using the vehicle in a anti-social manner, allowing officers to recover more vehicle causing us all issues. Due to the increase in demand caused by the good weather, world cup heart break and kids school holidays neighbourhood officers have been used more than normal to assist our response colleges with the extremely heavy demand for service. This has not stop us from our engagements and positive work Officers have made a number of arrests for theft offences and criminal damage for offences within the town. 1 offender has been charged with 18 offences and is awaiting sentencing with others awaiting court dates. 3 juveniles are awaiting court dates having been arrested a processed for the high value damage in the Ryemarket. There has also been large number of offenders identified and now listed on PNC as WANTED, when seen by officers will be arresting those individuals. We have sadly seen an increase in vehicle crime in the area so please be aware and make sure all vehicles are locked and NO valuables are on show. There are a number of upcoming plans and operations within the town aiming to progress offences and concerns raised by members of the public, these sadly cannot be advertised but will be updated on ALL WMP formats upon completion. Please see our WMNOW for upcoming events. PC 21790 JUDD-INGRAM.
