An update from your local Neighbourhood Police Team.

CRIME 

We have received many reports of theft of alloy wheel caps from vehicles across the neighbourhood. This is very much a live investigation and we are still trying to identify the offenders. 

If you have ring door bell cameras or any kind of camera on your property and you think they may have picked up some suspicious activity, please contact us. 

WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING.

Officers have been conducting high visibility patrols across the neighbourhood in light of the theft of alloy wheel caps. Intensive house to house enquiries are ongoing in the hope that a camera may have picked up footage of the offenders that we are able to identify them by. 

The sunny weather shows no sign of abating…..please remember to lock all doors and windows when you go out. Don’t make it easy for burglars.

DID YOU KNOW…..

The law for begging for money has changed. It is no longer against the law to sit in a position to beg. 

Officers still have the power to remove a person if they are aggressively begging and causing harassment, alarm or distress to the public. 

We do have issues of this nature on the Alvis Retail Park. Officers from the neighbourhood team will still be conducting routine patrols at the location. If you do experience incidents of aggressive begging please report it to us.
