Nuisance dog walker- Sunnydale Park

You Said, We did:

Yesterday we received a report that a female dog walker had attended Sunnydale Park the last two mornings with around 9 dogs in her possession; all of which were off the lead- running up to other dogs causing walkers concern and generally being chaotic. This morning we attended at the times stated and sure enough met the dog walker- and her dogs, long before her- returning to her car. The dogs were indeed uncontrolled- despite saying that she had them observed at all times- with several running off up tracks, into the pond and following others. 

You may recall at the start of the year that issued a Community Protection Notice Warning to a dog walker of a similar description, committing the same anti-social behaviour on King George V Park, i identified that they were the same person, and with this very clear breach, the warning will now be escalated to a Community Protection Notice, with the same conditions, however if there is a breach of the conditions, it will now be a criminal offence and a £100 for each breach could be incurred. 

Talking to other dog walkers on the park it is clear this anti-social behaviour is having a detrimental effect on their time visiting the park, with many having to make unreasonable adjustments, or not visit at all. It isn't just about dogs being loose; they have allegedly chased other dogs into the road and oncoming traffic, some people have a fear of dogs, or their dogs are nervous and do not appreciate having other, unknown dogs run up to them in this manner. And of course there is the dog fouling that comes with it; many of which goes unnoticed. One resident called the behaviour a “ Scourge” on the park, which should be a safe space for all to enjoy.
