I wanted to provide you an update regarding Personal theft (e.g. pick pocketing, no violence used), which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. Dear residents,
We are having a rise in parcel theft from residential blocks.
Please consider the following:
1. Track your packages and use delivery notifications. Most major shipping companies can send you a text or email when your package arrives.
2. Have packages delivered to where you are, not where you are not. Consider shipping to your office, a trusted neighbour’s home, or a local delivery locker.
3. Request a hold on your package at its pickup facility if you will be on vacation during the time of delivery.
4. Consider getting a mailbox at the local post office or shipping store.
