🚓 Leicester City Police – Weekly Roundup 🚓

Weekly round-up of just some of the work completed during our busy week across the city.

🚔 PC Tom completed a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) application for a prolific shoplifter, with the application attached to the prosecution file to help tackle ongoing offending and protect local businesses.

🔒 PC Karl was proactively patrolling for suspected shoplifters when he encountered a male wanted on recall to prison. The male was arrested and subsequently returned to custody to serve a further 56 days.

☕ PCSO Jane was out supporting visitors at the Leicester Dinosaur Festival in Jubilee Square and was delighted to receive an encouraging message on her coffee cup, a small gesture that highlights the positive relationships our neighbourhood teams build every day.

💬 Beat surgeries were held throughout the week in shopping centres and residential areas, giving residents the opportunity to speak directly with local officers and PCSOs, raise concerns and receive crime prevention advice.

🚲 #OpPedalFast saw City Centre officers join colleagues from the Riverside area on the DMU campus. We police without borders, and neighbourhood teams regularly work flexibly across the city to address emerging issues.

Results from the operation included:
✅ 3 e-scooters seized
✅ 1 non-conforming EAPC seized
✅ 1 arrest for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs after the rider of the non-conforming EAPC was found carrying several wraps of white powder

🔐 Bike registration events have continued throughout the week, helping cyclists protect their property and reduce bicycle theft. Keep an eye on our social media channels for details of further registration events taking place during August.
