With school holidays underway, it's a good opportunity for parents and carers to check in and make sure they know where their children are spending their time.

We have received reports of youths starting fires on and around Fosters Playing Fields, AB World Foods, and Westleigh Park. Fires can quickly get out of control, putting people at risk, causing damage to property, and placing unnecessary demands on emergency services.

Officers have been making enquiries and a number of names have been provided. We will be speaking with parents and carers where appropriate.

We would ask all parents to have conversations with their children about the dangers and consequences of setting fires, trespassing, and engaging in anti-social behaviour.
