City Centre Action

Your Street Engagement Team (SET) Officers continue to patrol and respond to incidents within Manchester City Centre

Across Manchester, we’re working with partners to support victims, reduce harm, and keep our communities safe.

SET carries out proactive patrols alongside Manchester City Council Rough Sleepers Team and ASBAT.

Throughout this week, we have:

✅ Arrested 3 wanted people, who had breached court bail and wanted on recall to prison 
✅ Responded to reports of entrenched rough sleeping outside of private residences

✅ Continued patrols in key areas with other agencies such as the council Antisocial Behaviour Action Team (ASBAT). By engaging with partners we are building civil protection cases against people who consistently engage in antisocial behaviour. 
✅ Responded to reports of racial abuse against Council staff. GMP will always take a zero tolerance approach to racial hatred.
