Help Keep Our Communities Clean – Don't Turn a Donation into Fly-Tipping

We all want to support local charities, but if a charity collection bin is full, please do not leave bags or other items beside it. Once items are left on the ground, they are classed as fly-tipping and can quickly become an eyesore for the local community.
If a collection bin is full, please:

Take your donations back home and return when the bin has been emptied.

Use another nearby charity collection point that has space available.

Drop items off inside a local charity shop rather than leaving them exposed on the street.

Please also check what items each collection bin accepts. If a bin is for clothing only, leaving items such as books, toys or household goods means they cannot be collected and are often left behind, creating further fly-tipping and additional clean-up costs.

Then

Report the full bin: Look for a phone number or organization name printed on the bin to call or email the operator so they can dispatch a collection van.
