Neighbourhood Policing Update

🚔 Another busy week for your Bournemouth Neighbourhood Policing Team! 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

This week, your neighbourhood officers brought a prolific shoplifter before the courts, where they were issued with a 5-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). 👏

The order includes conditions that prohibit them from:

🛍️ Entering businesses or shops within Bournemouth Town Centre, Westbourne, or Redlands Retail Park

🚫 Entering any business where they have received a banning notice

🏪 Remaining in any business after being asked to leave by staff, security, or other authorised representatives

🛒 Shoplifting will not be tolerated. Every report is taken seriously and will be investigated. We remain committed to supporting local businesses and ensuring Bournemouth—and Dorset as a whole—is a safe place to live, work and visit.

🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ Throughout the week, your officers have also carried out high-visibility patrols across Bournemouth Town Centre, including the Bournemouth Triangle, targeting drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour.

As part of this work:

✅ Section 35 dispersal notices have been issued

✅ Stop searches have been conducted where appropriate

We are dedicated to making our town centre a welcoming and enjoyable place for residents, visitors and businesses alike. 💙

🌞 With the warm weather continuing into next week, officers are also carrying out additional patrols at Bournemouth Beach as part of Operation Show. You can expect to see more officers on foot, responding to reports of anti-social behaviour and helping everyone enjoy the coastline safely and responsibly. 🏖️
