How to Reduce the Risk

✔ When parking on a driveway, position your vehicle close to a wall, fence, or another vehicle to restrict access underneath.

✔ Park in well-lit, busy areas where there is good natural surveillance.

✔ Consider installing CCTV, motion-activated lighting, or a vehicle alarm.

✔ Ask a reputable garage about fitting a catalytic converter protection device or security marking system.

✔ Register any security markings and keep a record of your vehicle's details.

✔ Be alert to the sound of power tools, particularly during the night or early morning hours.
