Rural Times The latest edition of Rural Times has now been published to our website and can be found here. This edition highlights how police and partners are proactively dealing with issues surrounding stolen plant and farm machinery, and waste crime. The online magazine also touches on rising metal theft across the county, advice on livestock worrying and fuel theft, and some recent arrests, prosecutions and court appearances for rural offenders.

Report Fraud: Courier Fraud continues to evolve across the UK Criminals are using increasingly sophisticated and persistent tactics in Courier Fraud with total losses exceeding £21m in 2025. They tend to target older people aged 70 and above. This group makes up the majority of victims, with those aged between 76 and 96 alone accounting for around 62% of all reports. Operation Makesafe Operation Makesafe is a national project, looking to raise awareness of child sexual exploitation initially within the Hotel & Leisure industry, it has now expanded into care homes and taxis services. It aims to empower businesses and organisations to tackle exploitation through increased awareness and training by being able to identify potential victims of child sexual exploitation, and alert the police to intervene to safeguard any at risk children.
