I wanted to provide you an update regarding robbery, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. 🚓 Proactive Patrols Lead to Arrest in Chadwell & Seven Kings 🚓
During dedicated robbery and motor vehicle patrols across Chadwell Heath and Seven Kings wards, officers identified a male riding a moped displaying suspected cloned registration plates.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the rider made off from police before abandoning the moped and fleeing on foot. Following a thorough search of the area, the male was located hiding underneath a parked vehicle and was swiftly arrested.
A subsequent search of the vicinity resulted in the recovery of a knife found close to where the suspect was hiding.

This arrest highlights the continued commitment of local officers to tackling vehicle crime, robbery, and dangerous individuals carrying weapons in our communities.
