Roundwood is a vibrant, diverse, and proud community. Like many neighbourhoods, we face challenges such as anti-social behaviour (ASB), drug-related activity, environmental issues, and concerns about community safety. While these issues can impact our quality of life, positive change is possible when we work together.

Our shared goal is simple:

To make Roundwood a place where residents feel safe, respected, connected, and proud of where they live.

What the Police Can Do

Your local neighbourhood policing team is committed to supporting the community through:

High-visibility patrols in identified hotspot locations.

Providing a reassuring presence within the neighbourhood.

Deterring anti-social behaviour through engagement and visibility.

Gathering intelligence from residents and local partners.

Identifying vulnerable individuals who may need support.

Working with police officers and specialist teams to address ongoing concerns.

Building positive relationships with residents, businesses, schools, and community groups.

As PCSOs, our role is often to prevent problems from escalating, gather information, provide reassurance, and act as the eyes and ears of the community and also to provide welfare checks and reassurance. Sometimes our presence alone can act as a deterrent and help make those involved in ASB think twice about their actions.

We understand that when residents report anti-social behaviour, drug-related activity, or other community concerns, they naturally want to see immediate results. While some issues can be addressed quickly, many require time, evidence gathering, partnership working, and long-term problem-solving. Reporting concerns is still extremely important.

Every piece of information helps build a picture of what is happening in Roundwood and assists police, Brent Council, housing providers, and partner agencies in identifying trends, prioritising resources, and taking appropriate action.

For example:

A single report may not provide enough evidence to take formal action.

Drug-related concerns often require intelligence gathering over a period of time.

Environmental improvements may require council assessments, funding, and scheduling.

Persistent ASB can involve multiple agencies working together to achieve lasting solutions.

"What are the police doing?" or “What are the council doing?”

We should also ask ourselves:

"What can I do to help?"
