Good morning,

I would like to share some good news with you which happened on 20/07/2026. A PCSO who had just finished duty from Putney SNT was walking up Putney High Street and became aware of some suspicious activity outside a well-known department store. On entering the premises the security guard was agitated and accused the suspects  of shoplifting, so at that point a decision was made by her to follow them and call 999.

 She followed the suspects at a distance. When entering another store the suspects attempted to do a distraction robbery which failed. They went down Montserrat Road, Werter road and Sainsburys attempting to throw off the pursuit of the PCSO. After half an hour the emergency response police car arrived outside Putney station where the suspects were handcuffed and goods worth £200 pounds were found, taken off them and returned to the store.
