An Update for New Cross Gate

Just a little update on some of the issues we have been focusing on in New Cross recently.

Theft:

A suspect who was arrested by SNT officers in November 2025 has recently been sentenced for shoplifting a number of goods from the B&M in the New Cross Retail Park. SNT officers came across the suspect with an associate, and upon stop searching them, they were found with the below items. The suspect was fined and ordered to pay a victim surcharge.

Furthermore, following reports of parcel thefts in Empire Heights on New Cross Road, we have been regularly patrolling the area to deter thieves and will continue to do so.

Anti-Social Behaviour:

We continue to show our presence in and around Eckington Gardens in light of reports of ASB in the area. We have also been investigating concerns over out-of-control dogs that are often let off their leads outside of the designated dog area.

We have also patrolled other areas where community concerns have been raised including the Lovelinch Estate, Hundson Road and John Williams Close.
