Valentines SNT delivered a scam awareness session this week to the Redbridge Women Disabled Women Welfare Association, focusing on the growing wave of fraud taking place through Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and TikTok.

The talk was arranged after a member of the group came forward about her own experience of being scammed through a social media message a reminder that this type of fraud can affect anyone, regardless of age or how familiar they are with these platforms. The session covered fake family emergency messages, cloned profiles, fraudulent online shops, and investment scams, alongside practical steps to spot and report them.

Thank you to everyone who attended for such a warm welcome and thoughtful discussion engagement sessions like this remain one of the most effective tools we have for preventing fraud before it happens.
