An incident took place down at the Pier, Lower Fore Street Saltash at approximately 1330hrs on Friday 17th July 2026 where a person found themselves in difficulty in the water. Saltash police would like to thank the members of the public who bravely entered the water and pulled the person to safety on to the lower part of the pier. B Section Police Officers took over securing the person before assisting them to the top of the pier, along with Coastguard and Fire, to the waiting paramedics to provide medical intervention. If you were one of the members of the public involved, please contact Saltash police, we would like to say thank you as your intervention made all the difference.
