George Lane Summer Festival, South Woodford  19 July 2026

PCSO 7113EA Naz (Fairlop Ward) and PCSO 7005EA Martin (Barkingside Ward) attended the George Lane Summer Festival in South Woodford, where we carried out high-visibility foot patrols throughout the day to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone attending.

The event was well attended, with a variety of stalls, local organisations and residents coming together to celebrate the community. We are pleased to report that no issues or concerns were raised, and many members of the public said they felt reassured by our presence. It was especially great to see so many children and families enjoying the day.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Deputy Mayor Madam Syeda Choudhury, Local MP Calvin Bailey, and Event Organiser Rena Pathak. Deputy Mayor Madam Choudhury even joined us on foot patrol, showing her support for community engagement and public safety.

Events like this are a fantastic opportunity to connect with local residents, partner agencies and community leaders. Thank you to everyone who helped make the festival such a success. We look forward to continuing to work together to keep our communities safe, welcoming and connected.
