Illegal bike seized

Dear resident,

Further to our message yesterday regarding ‘Project Pinpoint’, we're pleased to you that neighbourhood officers took another illegally adapted e-bike off the street last night!

Shortly after sending our message, a vigilant member of the public quickly responded with some information that enabled us to direct officers to patrol in a specific location in Whitchurch. Whilst there, officers have spotted e-bikes in the location who appeared to be involved in suspicious activity. 

Following a short foot chase, an officer has managed to seize a throttle-operated e-bike, which has now been taken off the streets and will be destroyed! Unfortunately, the male rider managed to escape by climbing over a fence, but the officer did recover his bag.

This is a great example of how valuable community information can be, and we've personally thanked them for taking the time to share this with us. The information they provided directly contributed to this positive outcome.
