Burglary Alert – Sale and surrounding areas |
||
|
We would like to make residents aware that there have been two burglaries reported in the Sale (M33) area during the past week, both occurring in the early hours of the morning. In one incident, offenders forced entry by breaking the lock on rear patio doors. In the second, offenders tried the rear door of a property but made off after being disturbed. What to do If you see or hear anyone acting suspiciously in your garden or a neighbour's garden during the night, please call 999 immediately. We would much rather receive the call and attend promptly than risk an offender going undetected. Our officers will attend, stop individuals where appropriate, establish their reasons for being in the area, and carry out searches where lawful grounds exist. Crime Prevention AdviceUpgrade vulnerable locks Many burglars target euro-cylinder locks through a technique known as lock snapping. We recommend fitting: These provide significantly greater resistance to snapping attacks. Ongoing Police ActivityOfficers are actively carrying out high-visibility patrols and proactive operations across Trafford during both the day and night. With your continued support and vigilance, we can help keep our communities safe.
