Community Patrol Success – Fairlop & Barkingside Wards

On 18 July 2026, PCSO Naz (Fairlop Ward) and PCSO Martin (Barkingside Ward) conducted high-visibility patrols in local hotspot areas. At approximately 1:00pm on Otley Approach junction with Headley Drive, a male was seen in possession of suspected cannabis.

Following engagement, the male voluntarily handed over the cannabis and remained calm and cooperative throughout. Officers attended the scene and the male was subsequently arrested for possession of drugs.

This was a great example of teamwork, proactive policing, and visible patrols helping to tackle drug-related issues within our communities. The incident was witnessed by local residents, demonstrating our commitment to keeping neighbourhoods safe and addressing concerns that matter to the public.
