Residential Burglary – There have two reports of attempt to residential burglary between 10 July 2026 and 18 July 2026.

On 10/07/2026, a residential burglary was committed on Greenfinch Road and Robin Close. Suspect is now arrested and charged. 

Theft of motor vehicle – There has been one report of Theft of motor vehicle between 10 July 2026 and 18 July 2026.

On 10/07/2026, a motor vehicle was stolen from Laburnum Avenue. 

Theft from a motor vehicle – There have been no reports of Theft from a motor vehicle between 10 July 2026 and 18 July 2026.

Interference with a motor vehicle – There have been no report of Interference with a motor vehicle between 10 July 2026 and 18 July 2026.

Officers from the Smiths wood neighbourhood team are continuing to conduct proactive patrols and take preventative measures to tackle vehicle crime, across all Smiths wood, Kingshurst and Castle Bromwich. 

Simple Steps to Keep Your Vehicle Safe – 

Keyless ignition owners should use a Faraday pouch for their fob. All drivers should consider a steering lock, park in well – lit visible areas, lock their vehicle, remove valuables and ensure windows, sunroof, and wing mirrors are closed/ folded. Unfolded mirrors may signal an unlocked car to thieves.

What has been happening? Good news –

This week our officers have had two arrests, one was for recall to prison and the second was domestic related.

Yesterday was National Community Speed Watch Day. Officers were out yesterday on Cooks Lane, Gilson Way, Mull Croft, Windward Way and some of our Castle Bromwich Community Speed Watch volunteers joined us on Parkfield Drive. Hopefully, this will make people think when they are in their vehicles, as you never know when we will be popping up next.
