Vehicle Crime - WOMBOURNE

We are appealing for information after receiving reports of a duo on a motorbike allegedly targeting high-value vehicles for theft in south Staffordshire.

We were first called at 1pm on Monday 6th July to Common Road in Wombourne following reports of suspicious activity.

Two individuals, each wearing motorbike helmets, had arrived at a property at around 11.30pm the night before, on a motorbike.

They then got off the motorbike and appeared to use a scanner/relay device to try and steal a Mercedes GLC from a driveway.

However, they were spooked and made off from the scene.

We were then called to a similar incident on Sunday 12th July to Penleigh Gardens in Wombourne, where a car was reported stolen from a driveway at around 1.15am.

The two suspects were seen on doorbell footage arriving on a motorbike before stealing the grey BMW X3 without keys.

The individuals appear to have used a device to disrupt the vehicle tracker.

We have carried out inquiries locally and are keen to speak to anyone who recognises the individuals pictured.
