IMPORTANT ADVICE FROM CHESHIRE FIRE AND RESCUE

Parents and carers, as children and young people get ready to enjoy the long summer holidays, please take a few moments to talk to them about staying safe and making good choices.

Deliberately setting fires is a criminal offence and can have devastating consequences for people, wildlife and local communities.

Stay out of open water. Rivers, lakes, canals and reservoirs can be much more dangerous than they look. Cold water shock, strong currents and hidden hazards put lives at risk.

For older teenagers and young adults, stay safe in and around vehicles. Remember the #Fatal5: Speeding, Mobile phone use, Not wearing a seatbelt, Driving under the influence, Careless driving.
