Burglary -There has been no reports of burglary between Thursday 9th July 2026 and Thursday 16th July 2026. 

Theft of motor vehicle – There has been no reports of Theft of a motor vehicle between Thursday 9th July 2026 and Thursday 16th July 2026.

Theft from a motor vehicle – There has been one report of Theft from a motor vehicle between Thursday 9th July 2026 and Thursday 16th July 2026.  

On 11th July 2026, unknown offender/s have gained entry to a BMW by unknown means and stolen items on THE GREEN.

Interference with a motor vehicle - There have been no reports of Interference with a motor vehicle between Thursday 9th July 2026 and Thursday 16th July 2026.  

What’s been happening? 

Good news

This week our officers have had two arrests, one was for recall to prison and the second was domestic related.

Yesterday was National Community Speed Watch Day. Officers were out yesterday on Cooks Lane, Gilson Way, Mull Croft, Windward Way and some of our Castle Bromwich Community Speed Watch volunteers joined us on Parkfield Drive. Hopefully, this will make people think when they are in their vehicles, as you never know when we will be popping up next.

PCSO Took was out tonight with our Castle Bromwich Street Watch team, first walk for one of our new members. If you are interested in hearing more about Street Watch or would like to join our group of volunteers, please contact us at Smithswood@westmidlands.police.uk
