Live Facial Recognition operation

Dear Residents,

On 5 June 2026, Uxbridge Town Centre hosted a Live Facial Recognition operation aimed at helping locate wanted offenders and those with outstanding court warrants, while also providing reassurance to the local community.

The operation resulted in two arrests and helped identify several other individuals of interest. Officers also engaged with residents and businesses throughout the day, explaining the purpose of the operation and how the technology supports public safety.

This was a positive result for the town centre, demonstrating how technology and community-focused policing can work together to help keep Uxbridge safe. 

We understand how important it is that you feel safe in your town centre. Please be reassured that we are actively patrolling the area, responding to incidents, and taking action where needed.
