Operation Atal- Llwydcoed

Good Afternoon,

On the 9th July, Aberdare Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a joint operation with the support of the Local Authority and South Wales Fire Service.

Officers measured road users speed along the 20mph stretch of Llwydcoed Road near the community centre. Anyone seen speeding was pulled into the nearby car park and either offered an educational session or given fixed penalty notices.

Those that were stopped had driving license, insurance, tax and mot checks conducted to ensure that speeding was the only offence they were committing.

Overall 632 cars passed during this operation and several fixed penalty notices were issued.
