Officers from the Neighbourhood Task Force team have been carrying out speed enforcement checks across the area today. These proactive checks are aimed at improving road safety, educating drivers, and reducing the risk of collisions, particularly in locations close to schools, residential streets, and other high-risk areas. Drivers found exceeding the speed limit may be dealt with through words of advice, speed awareness courses, or enforcement action where appropriate. We will continue to monitor identified hotspots and work with the community to help make our roads safer for everyone. Todays efforts have identified people exceeding the speed limit, vehicles with bald tyres and damage to windscreens, which resulted in Traffic Offence Reports being issued.
