Summer Holiday Advice |
||
|
Hello Belmont residents
As the summer holidays are soon to begin, we’d like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable break.
With children spending more time outdoors, we ask all parents, carers, and members of the community to take a few simple steps to help keep everyone safe
Talk to children about road safety and remind them to stay alert when crossing roads, especially when cycling
Know where your children are, who they’re with, and when they are expected home.
Encourage children to stay together with friends and to avoid isolated areas.
Remind young people never to get into a vehicle with someone they don’t know or trust.
Keep bikes and scooters securely locked when not in use and consider marking valuable property to help prevent theft.
if you’re heading away on holiday, make sure your home is secure by locking all doors and windows, using timers for lights if possible, and asking a trusted neighbour to keep an eye on your property.
Stay vigilant in busy public places and keep personal belongings close to you to reduce the risk of theft.
If you see suspicious behaviour or have concerns about someone’s safety, please report it. In an emergency, always call 999 For emergencies . For non-emergencies, contact police on 101 or report online.
Let’s all work together to make this summer safe, enjoyable, and memorable for the right reasons.
Thank you for your continued support and have a safe and happy summer holiday.
Many thanks PC QUINLAN 2325 SN
