Court Result - Shoplifting & Anti Social Behaviour
Over the past week Tavistock Patrol & Neighbourhood Teams arrested, charged and remanded 2 individuals for shoplifting offences in the the town.
Stuart Lambert aged 49 of Plymouth was issued a community order prohibiting him from Any Holland & Barrett or Sainsburys store in the UK, ordered to pay £307 in total compensation and is now banned from entering Tavistock by way of a Community Protection Warning.
Matthew Curtis aged 47 of Ernesettle Crescent, Plymouth has been ordered to pay compensation of £59.97 to Boots.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Thomas Ottley said "I hope these kind of positive results demonstrate to our communities that we take crime committed against our businesses seriously and I encourage our retailers to work with us to deter and prevent offending and to help us bring those committing offences to justice."
