Arrested, Charged & Remanded

PC Sevenoaks and other officers were on patrol yesterday in the Chelsfield Ward. Officers drove past a vehicle near Sevenoaks Road and something didn't feel right with officers. Car was checked and shown as having No Insurance. Male from the vehicle ran away from officers, but after a short chase and area search, the male was located hiding in an alleyway.

During a thorough search of the vehicle, number plates were found hidden inside the vehicle. Further checks revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Greenwich at the beginning of July, and the detained male is known to police for burglary and is currently on license as he was only recently released from prison recently. 

The male was arrested for Theft of Motor Vehicle, Driving with No Insurance, driving whilst disqualified. He was later charged for four (4) Offences and remanded to court where he will appear this morning and likely recalled to prison.
