Burglary at Tidnor Wood Orchards, Lugwardine |

We are appealing for information following a burglary that occurred overnight between 5th and 6th July 2026 at Tidnor Wood Orchards, Lugwardine.
An intruder gained access to a barn on the premises and stole approximately £1,400 worth of equipment, including:

🔒 Protecting Rural Buildings and Equipment Outbuildings, barns and agricultural premises can be attractive targets for thieves. We would encourage landowners and rural businesses to consider the following security measures: ✅ Ensure barns, sheds and outbuildings are secured with robust locks and padlocks. ✅ Install CCTV systems covering access points, gateways and storage areas. ✅ Use motion-activated lighting to deter offenders and improve visibility at night. ✅ Consider forensic property marking products such as SmartWater to help identify and recover stolen items. ✅ Record serial numbers and photograph valuable equipment and tools. ✅ Store high-value items out of sight where possible and secure fuel tanks with appropriate locks and security measures. ✅ Regularly review site security and report any suspicious activity promptly.
