Weekly Crime Update
Good evening, all,
We hope you are doing well. Welcome to this week’s Weekly Crime update. A quick rundown of what your local Neighbourhood officers have been up to. This is not an extensive list of all our activity but highlights some of the work you may be interested in.
Crimes of Note In this section of the Weekly Crime update, we list some of the crimes of note that may be on particular interest to residents. Theft from shop/stalls on Bordesley Green Criminal Damage to vehicle on Denville Crescent Assault with intent to rob on Bordesley Green East Criminal Damage to a Residence on Mansel Road Theft of a motor vehicle on Broadway Avenue Residential Burglary of an unconnected building on Hob Moor Road ASB on Geranium Grove Disorder on Bordesley Green East
As reiterated above, this week marks the end of the academic year for most and the start of a long six-week break. It is natural for children to be spending more time outdoors enjoying the warm weather. Parents, please ensure you are aware of your children’s whereabouts during the summer holidays. Parents and carers are encouraged to talk to children about staying safe when out with friends. They should let a trusted adult know where they are, who they are with and what time they expect to be home. Encourage them to keep their mobile phone charged and to contact a trusted adult if their plans change. Children should be reminded not to enter open water such as rivers, lakes quarries or reservoirs as these can be extremely dangerous. When cycling or using scooters, children should wear a properly fitted helmet and use lights and reflective clothing if out later in the evening. Road safety remains important throughout the summer holidays. So ensure you cross at safe places and avoid distractions such as mobile phones. Young people should be respectful of local communities and avoid behaviour that could cause harassment, alarm and distress to others. Anti-social behaviour can have a significant impact on residents and may result in police action.
