Hello, and welcome to your round up from the St Matthew’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, part of Walsall’s Local Policing Area (LPA). Keeping the different communities in St Matthew’s informed of some of the activities that we have done recently.

✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅

Officers continue to conduct high visibility patrols in Walsall town centre and Caldmore and a number of vehicles have been recovered and drivers reported for driving offences.

Patrols have been conducted in Walsall Arboretum due to the warmer weather and more people using the facilities.

A number of stop searches have been made in Town Centre and Walsall following intel of drug dealing in the area.

An operation was conducted in Walsall town centre and a number of e scooters were seized.  Riding an illegal electric bike or scooter could result in fines, penalty points on your licence or even prosecution.

✅ Crime prevention advice ✅

Luxury car theft is on the rise in the West Midlands. It takes less than 60 seconds for thieves to take your car from your driveway.  

If your car has Keyless Entry and Start (PKES), it can be stolen by ‘Relay Attack’ 

Stop this happening by layering up your security:

If your vehicle is stolen, never put yourself at risk. Call police immediately on 999 if you see it being stolen, or if you discover it has gone you can report it to us online or call 101.
