Motor Vehicle Crime

Dear Resident,

We would like to remind everyone of the importance of keeping vehicles secure and removing valuables when leaving them unattended.

Recently, we have seen a slight increase in theft of vehicles and of the vehicle break-ins on the ward, and in general across the borough. This includes cars and vans, with 2 recent incidents involving the theft of power tools.

To help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of crime, please:

Opportunist thieves will often target vehicles where valuables are visible or where they believe tools may be stored. Taking a few simple precautions can significantly reduce the likelihood of your vehicle being targeted, please see the link below;
