Today is a difficult day for many.

The football has finished. The schools have broken up. And thousands of people across the country are now wandering around the house looking lost, confused and wondering what they're supposed to do with their evenings.
We get it. Honestly, we do. We share your pain.

But fear not, Wantage & Grove has plenty to offer. 
Whether it's a show at The Beacon, a walk along The Ridgeway, a trip to White Horse Hill, the Vale & Downland Museum, The Dolphin Gallery, Harwell's new pump track, or one of the many excellent pubs across the area, there's no shortage of ways to fill the football-shaped hole in your life.

Whatever you choose to do, please do it responsibly.
With the summer holidays now underway, we traditionally see an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour. We often hear "let kids be kids" and we're all for young people getting out, having fun and making memories. But growing up, most of us don't remember "being kids" involving terrorising strangers, damaging property, abusing shop staff, or making residents feel intimidated.

Parents, please have a conversation with your children about respecting others and their community. A little consideration goes a long way.

So as the football comes to an end and summer begins, get out, enjoy everything our area has to offer, and look after one another.

⚽ The football may be over, but common sense is still playing.
