With the school holidays up and coming, if not already commenced for some, this message is just to remind parents of

As we head into the summer holidays, we would like to remind everyone to enjoy their break responsibly and respectfully.

Children and young people are encouraged to make the most of the warmer weather by spending time outdoors, being active, and having fun with friends. However, please remember to be considerate of neighbours and the wider community.

Respect other people's property – climbing on fences, entering gardens without permission, damaging plants, vehicles, walls, or other property can cause distress and expense to residents.

Avoid anti-social behaviour – excessive noise, throwing objects, littering, and intimidating or disruptive behaviour can have a significant impact on those living nearby.

Stay safe around roads – always be aware of traffic, avoid playing in or near the road, use designated crossing points where available, and be mindful when cycling or walking with friends.

Look out for one another – stay with friends where possible, let a parent or guardian know where you are, and contact a trusted adult if you feel unsafe.

We all have a role to play in ensuring everyone can enjoy a safe and peaceful summer. By showing respect for others, looking after our neighbourhoods, and making sensible choices, we can help create a positive environment for the whole community.
