Please avoid the urge

On Sunday 12th July the Bromley Common and Holwood police team found a couple of children swimming in Keston Ponds. After being told of the dangers involved they moved on. We know the water may appear inviting, especially in this current hot spell but the dangers are great and not worth the risk.

Also bathing, wading and swimming in the lakes is prohibited under the local bylaws.

Unfortunately emergency services have to deal with a number of tragic accidents every year where people lose their lives in our inland rivers and lakes – please keep your self and children safe by staying out of open water unless there are lifeguards in place.
