Broad Green SNT Community Engagement |
||
|
Officers from Broad Green Safer Neighbourhood Team, supported by colleagues from Fairfield Safer Neighbourhood Team, were out engaging with the public at two events across the ward on Saturday 11th July.
At Sharpshooter House, Mitcham Road Barracks, officers attended the British Army Community Open Day, where they met local residents and Army personnel. The event provided an opportunity to learn more about the Armed Forces and view some of the specialist military equipment on display.
At the same time, officers were at IKEA, Purley Way, hosting a crime prevention stall. Throughout the day, the team engaged with a large number of residents and families, providing practical crime prevention advice, answering questions about local policing and discussing issues affecting the local area.
These engagements are an important part of neighbourhood policing, giving officers the opportunity to speak directly with residents, provide reassurance and share advice on how to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of crime.
Broad Green SNT regularly attends community events and hosts public engagement opportunities across the area, including crime prevention stands and anti-social behaviour (ASB) surgeries. If you would like to meet your local officers, discuss concerns in your neighbourhood or receive crime prevention advice, please keep an eye on Met Engage, where details of future events and engagement opportunities will be published.
