Weekly Update from your local Radford NPT
Dear Members
Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.
What’s Been Happening
Burglaries Residential burglaries have been reported in the Radford area. Suspect(s) has entered through an open window. Unfortunately open windows are an invitation for the opportunist thief. Whilst we appreciate the weather is hot, please do not become complacent with your home security.
Cannabis Factory On Friday we were called to a cannabis grow which was discovered by a letting agent after forcing entry into the property due to rent arrears. The electricity meter was found to be bypassed and approximately 380 cannabis plants were in situ. Some tell-tale signs of a cannabis factory include (although not an exhaustive list) a strong odour coming from the address, covered windows, condensation on the windows, sounds of ventilation, comings and goings at strange times. If you have any suspicion that a property is being used to grow cannabis, please let us know.
Abandoned Building Following a call that four people were attempting to break into a derelict building, officers searched the area and four juveniles were detained. Whilst we have spoken about the dangers of children going into abandoned properties previously, as the school holidays are approaching, please have a word with your child. If you are concerned about an empty property, kindly email the team and report to Coventry City Council Empty properties
Awareness A phone was snatched from the hand of a victim whilst walking on CRAMPERS FIELDS. This happened on Friday 3rd July at approximately 9:00 pm. The offender was dressed in black and riding an E-scooter.
