Road Safety Operation carried out on Heol Fach / Curwen Terrace |

On Friday 10th July between 09.45 and 12.45hrs, Your local neighbourhood policing team along with South Wales Fire Service and Road Safety Wales conducted a Road safety exercise on Heol Fach and Curwen terrace, North Cornelly.
People monitored driving above the speed limit or not wearing a seat belt were stopped by police. They were given the option of immediately attending an educational session with South Wales rescue services or accepting a fixed penalty. This is currently a £100 on the spot fine for a seat belt offence or £100 and 3 points on your licence for a speeding offence.
A total of 20 vehicles were stopped with 11 drivers opting for speed education and 9 opting for seat belt education.
