UNINSURED VEHICLE LOCATED AND SEIZED

Dear residents. 

Over recent days, the local community have repeatedly reported a particular vehicle being driven around the Saddleworth area in an antisocial manner. 

Your local PCSOs have now located and seized this vehicle under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act. The vehicle was located in Greenfield unattended, upon conducting checks it became apparent that there was no current insurance policy.

This action was taken directly as a result of the reports and intelligence provided by members of the public. As your local Neighbourhood Team for Saddleworth & Lees, we acted on that information to ensure the vehicle was removed from the road – enquires are still ongoing in respect of the suspected driver. 

This is a great example of “You said, we did” in action. Your reports genuinely make a difference and help us keep our roads and community safer. Please continue to report concerns to the Police via the usual channels. Your information matters.
