Community Concerns on Clieves Hill

Good Morning,

We would like to provide you an update following on from a number of community concerns around anti social behaviour, drug use and driving offences on Clieves Hill.

South Rural Task Force have been increasing our patrols of this area in line with these concerns. 

Last night we have stopped and searched 2 people who have been in a vehicle in possession of Nitrous Oxide and a number of balloons.

This has been seized and the People involved will be dealt with for the appropriate offences.

Since November 2023 misuse of Nitrous Oxide falls under a Class C Drug under the MDA and can cause severe health complications if misused. It is also an offence under the Road Traffic Act to drive a vehicle whilst under the influence of Drugs.

South Rural Task force are committed to tackling the problems and concerns of the rural communities with Road safety being a top priorities.
