|
Dear residents of LYNDON,
These are the crime updates in the Lyndon area between of 1st of JULY 2026- 9th of JULY 2026.
Vehicle crime
BIRCHLEY RISE- Unknown suspect has smashed the window of a TOYOTA and has also stolen the bumper, bonnet and headlights and made off.
ULLERIES ROAD-Unknown suspect has stolen a FORD TRANSIT by unknown means.
On the good side
Following ongoing concerns raised by residents about the use of off-road bikes in the area we conducted a joint operation with our colleagues in Force Traffic and Road Harm. The off-road bikes team were quick to respond to any reports or sightings of bikes in the area and thanks to calls from the public and the efforts of our specialist officers two males were detained on a bike, arrested and a weapon seized along with the bike.
The team spotted a vehicle driving erratically on Wednesday evening on the patch and upon pulling it over found the driver to be intoxicated and in possession or Class A drugs. The male was arrested and taken to custody thankfully safeguarding other road users.
The team have been attending a number of joint visits with Solihull Housing to tackle issues such as drug use and ASB which have been raised as being persistent issue by local people. These are some of the ways that our team responds to the problems that come to our attention to deal with what matters to our residents.
We have also recovered a vehicle that was stolen during the early hours on 09/07/26 from WARWICKSHIRE AREA and was located on our patch and will soon be reunited with its owner.
Targeted patrols for ASB hotspots, drugs hotspots, burglary and vehicle crime have been also conducted.
Lastly, I would just like to remind you to lock your vehicle when not in attendance and remove any valuables from within!
