POSITIVE ACTION TAKEN AGAINST OBSTRUCTIVE VEHICLE

GMP had a report recently from a local resident stating that a vehicle was blocking his driveway in the Alkrington area.

On investigation we found that the van was totally blocking his drive way and that this restricted access .

As a result the vehicle was Ticketed and towed away as a result.

positive action will be taken 

Blocking a drive way is a criminal offence known as Wilful Obstruction. under section 137 of the highways Act 1980.

We will not tolerate this type of behaviour in our communities and consideration must be taken for all those residents that have driveways for free passage.
