Hello Resident,
I hope this message finds you well. As we move through JUNE, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.
June Update 2026
Officers attended a report of an abandoned motorbike in a field in Short Heath, the motorbike was recovered and was showing as stolen, this bike was returned to its rightful owner.
Arrests 9 x males - Theft from shops and stalls 2 x females - Theft from shops and stalls 1 x male - Burglary 1 x male – Failing to appear at court 1 x female – Failing to appear at court 1 x male – Robbery 1 x male – Criminal Damage
Police Surgeries/Meetings
Police Surgeries were conducted at The Hive, New Invention (Willenhall North), The library (Willenhall South) and Queens Lea Community Centre (Short Heath)
Upcoming Police Surgeries
The Hive, The Square Lichfield Road 14/07/26 between 09.30 and 12.30 Queens Lea Community Room – 22/07/26 between 14.00 and 15.00
Police Surgeries are open to all members of the Willenhall Community to come and discuss any issues that you may have in your local area.
Patrols & ASB We increased our patrols around Willenhall Memorial Park following a serious racially aggravated assault to provide extra reassurance to members of the community. All individuals involved were swiftly arrested.
We continue with our patrols in Western Avenue, and we have noticed a significant reduction in the calls to service and ASB in the area.
Walsall Council Enforcement Officers have been patrolling with us around Willenhall Town and Memorial Park.
Community Events
We have attended the Carnival and Transport Show at the Memorial Park; we also attended the fun day at the new railway station. Good turnout by the community at these events.
The Scholars Heath Street Watch Group Received a Star Award at the Street Watch Celebration for all their hard work and commitment.
Workshops for Year 6 pupils were conducted at the following schools: St Giles Primary, Lodge Farm, Short Heath Primary, Woodlands Primary. Topics discussed were ASB, Good Citizen, Knife crime and social media.
Micheal Wynter from our ‘Precious Lives’ team attended Pool Hayes Primary school and New Invention Academy to discuss Peer Pressure, Knife Crime, Choices and Consequences for year 6 pupils.
Police Surgeries were conducted at Pool Hayes Comp and Willenhall E-Act to speak to pupils on a one-to-one basis. Pupils are referred to us by school or parents so we can discuss any issues regarding their behaviour at school, home or in the community.
