We have seen an increase in car and motorcycle thefts across the local area in recent weeks.

Thieves are targeting vehicles left insecure, motorcycles without additional security, and vehicles with keys left nearby or visible. We are urging residents to take extra precautions to protect their property.

✅ Always lock your vehicle, even if leaving it for a short time.
✅ Keep keys away from doors, windows and letterboxes.
✅ Consider using a steering wheel lock or other visible security device.
✅ For motorcycles, use a quality chain and lock, and secure the bike to an immovable object where possible.
✅ Park in well-lit, busy areas or secure garages whenever available.
✅ Remove valuables and ensure nothing is left on display.

If you notice suspicious activity, unknown persons checking vehicles, or anyone attempting to remove a vehicle, please report it immediately.

📞 Report non-emergency information via 101 or online through your local police reporting system.
